Carolyn Ann Fishing reoort, Barnegat Light 12-12
Fishing Report
The weekend was fair; nothing real exciting except for the beauitful weather. Of course, it was a little colder than last week, but what do you want, it's mid Dec.
The chill didn't bother Alec Lasko of West Creek. He won with a nice 6-lb blackfish and Gene Kosky with a 5-lber. Way to go geno! Also, Don DeCaro of Manahawkin with a 4.8-lber.
The bottom temp was 52 degrees at 65 ft. Still a good temperature for the blackfish to bite. Green crab and white leggers worked best (the green crabs we supply, white leggers were brought by fisherman). Some guys had four or five keepers this weekend, some guys one or two, but there was action with the shorts and even they can be fun. No real monsters like last week, guess they will bite whenever they feel like it again. That's blackfishing! O Yea!
Sorry, the Carolyn Ann III will not be sailing this coming Fri 12/16, Sat 12/17, or Sun 12/18. Even fisherman need a holiday once in a while. But we will be sailing the Friday before Christmas, 12/23. Then also New Year's weekend Fri 12/30, Sat 12/31 and Sun 1/1/12.
