My crew of 5 meet up with Capt Steve and Mate Lenny of the Stanley Rose in Cape May and we headed out the inlet at day break for some INSANE toggin for this time of year.....
First wreck was a bust... i think 2 or 3 keeps and slow slow bite... Steve made a move to another wreck he hasn't touched since the spring... Double anchored on it and it was slow again... made 3 different pulls and adjustments on the anchor lines and the 3rd adjustment was lights out....
Togs came over the rail at a feverish pace.... 5's... 6's.. then a 10 or two.... i finally nailed a real drag yanker that went 12#'s back at the gas dock.... but the clincher was Scotts fish about 20 minutes later that was bigger than mine.... we released it and estimated it to be 14-15#'s....
In the end we had our boat limit easy with 1 fish at approx 14-15#.... one at 12#.... 8-10 fish from 8 to 11# and a bunch of nice fish 3-8# Maybe a dozen shorts all day and 2 keeper sea bass
Thanx again for the killer day Capt Chaos... ya havent let me down yet.... see ya soon....
