I left the dock today with James Dove and his wife. It was a great morning, just a little nip to the air and a light wind. Jamie and his wife wanted to fish the rips so off we went. On the third pass over the rip we were working we got our chance at Mr. Bass. As Jamies wife started to reel in to set the hook the fish dropped the bait and that was that.
The Bluefish moved in after that so we kept moving to get away from them. We would find a good looking rip and make a pass or two and the Bluefish would take over. The Bluefish were eating our baits like it was an all you can eat special down at the fire hall. Anyway, the Doves liked Bluefish so we kept enough for a couple dinners.
Back at the dock the guys that were up the Del. Bay chunking did not do much better. There were only a couple fish caught here and there. Slow day. There were a lot of skunk flags flying today. But things can only get better. With the water temp that should drop and the bait fish in abundence. Its going to get real good
I have a couple dates open in November and December for STRIPERS. Call or email to set sometning up.
