Cape May Reef 08/25

We were thinking of going to the Old Grounds Saturday but the forecast made us stay a little closer.

So we stopped at the wildwood reef for one long drift, No takers, so we went to the C.M. Reef.

Started a little slow and then we started picking up some throw backs.
I start the boat and run to make a new drift and we lost the net, but we didn't know it.

We start fishing again and my rod bends over and i bring up the biggest fluke i ever caught. I yell to Nick, GET THE NET, well we find out the net is gone

So we tried to gaff it, Nothing happening.
Nick says I'll get it in, I said don't bring that fish out of the water !
What does he do, With two hands he pulls the leader and the big fish out of the water and snap go's the leader, good bye fish.

We got 5 more keepers up to 24 inch. And i pulled them all in with my fishing glove's on and buy putting my thumb in the mouth and griping the lower jaw.
