    NJ Cape May Reef 08/25

We were thinking of going to the Old Grounds Saturday but the forecast made us stay a little closer.

So we stopped at the wildwood reef for one long drift, No takers, so we went to the C.M. Reef.

Started a little slow and then we started picking up some throw backs.
I start the boat and run to make a new drift and we lost the net, but we didn't know it.

We start fishing again and my rod bends over and i bring up the biggest fluke i ever caught. I yell to Nick, GET THE NET, well we find out the net is gone So we tried to gaff it, Nothing happening.
Nick says I'll get it in, I said don't bring that fish out of the water !
What does he do, With two hands he pulls the leader and the big fish out of the water and snap go's the leader, good bye fish.

We got 5 more keepers up to 24 inch. And i pulled them all in with my fishing glove's on and buy putting my thumb in the mouth and griping the lower jaw.

Nick was just trying to get that big fish in the boat with out thinking.
    Totally understandable.
