Cape May New Jersey Stripers are biting Risky Business charter boat reports

Ok folks I'm gonna use this thread to post my reports as the season progresses along. I will also be posting any make up or open boat trips along the way that need filling. I will post up some info on tips and tricks that we use on a day to day basis to maximize our catches on the Dleaware Bay for spring time Stripers.

Right now the conditions in Cape may are chilly and windy. The wind is from the North west at 15 to 20 with higher gusts. tomorrows forcast calls for a southwest wind at 10-15 so that should warm things up while were out fishing.
On a side note I do need two people for tomorrows trip.
you can call me at 609 846 5874 to hop on board, or e-mail me here
    thank you

    tomorrows wind n 5-10
    thanks,

Well not much to report today as yesterday was slow with a few bites here and there for the boats that were out there. We searched around for fish but they are gone. this time of year we are catching the males mostly and the females are up in the river so when things "get right" the males el splito. we will see a lull like this now for about a week or two but in the meantime the big females are working their way back down the river and into the bay. Those fish should start up any day now and range from 25 to 50 pounds all day long! After this lull the drum fish should start to bite on the moon.
today looks likes it blowing 10-15 from the north.
    till the next tide

The report is the same as yesterday most of the stripers are up in the Delaware River. there are still a few fish around but the body of fish are spawning You will see action getting hot again in a week with some really nice fish making their way down.
seems the tog are biting for a couple of people that get out for em.
at least today isnt blowing its overcast with 5 to 10 north winds

4-14-2010 today seemed to be a good day for some of the boats that fished. seems like some nice fish up to 20+ pounds were caught today out on the delaware bay. Most of these guys are clamming for the stripers so there have allready been a few drum caught here and there so look for more drum to start getting caught in the next week. Also on a side note the bigger trophy stripers will start to make their way down this week and next and the action should start right around the 24th. These fish are on bunker and you need fresh bunker to catch these fish. You wont catch to well with clams when these fish are around. Looks like the weather for the rest of the week is 5-10 right on through the weekend but I'm sure that will change.
I have the boat open for the weekend if anyone wants to get out for a nice day of fishing hit me up 609 846 5874.
    thanks,

4/16/2010 Stripers are still getting caught although the action is not what it was a few weeks ago it will heat back up again in short order. The Drum bite will likely explode within the next week or so. Look for the full moon to bring on the bite. We have not been fishing as much as we would like to be this time of year but have a few trips coming up. We will be looking for the bigger fish at our normal haunts. We still have some very prime dates in may for both drum and big TROPHY stripers
so give us a call to hop on board. 609 846 5874
