Canyon Runner Sail report Miami 12/30*UPDATED WITH PICS

Without a weather window opening soon we decided to just tough it out and try for some sails. Winds steady at 28knts all day with gusts to 34knts made for a sloppy day to say the least. Starting just north of fowey off Miami, we quickly found our first sail in 180ft of water. With the seas kicking ass at 7-9ft and 5 seconds apart believe it or not we found our best presentation drifting with 5 flat lines on one side and a kite out the other. It ended up to be a steady pick at single bites going 6/6 by the end of the day with 5 mahi as well. All our bites were scattered between 60-180ft of water. Conditions were sloppy, but fishing has been great. Winds are still kicking at 20knts, but hey thats better than 30! We might give it a try tomarrow...

    John,

    Nice pictures huh?!

Give me a call on the cell and let's see if we can set something up. We have a tight schedule at the end of January but maybe we can fit you in.

    Thanks,
