March 8th we decided to get out right as the next front was pushing through and although the conditions were tough it proved to be a good day of fishing. Not hearing many people out on Monday, we decided to start south of Fowey again because it has been good to us over the last few days. The morning started off great and within the first 10 minutes we had already released a single 1/1. By 7:30am the front pushed through, air temp dropped 20 degrees in 5 minutes, and winds when from light and variable to 20-25knts out of the North, and rain was coming at us sideways all day! With just three us on the boat we had consistent action all day putting a double away and only missing two fish out of 8 hookups put us at 6/8 by 2PM when we called it a day. Even though the rain was relentless the high winds allowed for the kite to stay up all day which proved effect as it produced 5 of the 6 fish we released. For good measure we also boated 5 mahi and had a bunch of kingfish bite offs. All our bites came between 100-130’ and threadfins where the bait of choice…
