My brother and I started out fishing the jetties in AC early this morning, as he wanted to go back to the scene of his last bass killing. Tons of mullet, spearing and peanuts all along the rocks, but no fish. So we headed over to Brigantine to check out the surf conditions. Did a walk over at the north end where the Castle used to be and it looked like nice hole ,so we gave it a go. It was a croaker slaughter,we must have caught about 100 croakers between us in a couple hours of leadchucking, and it was non-stop action. I also caught a sea robin that must have came from the Planet Zerk, this thing was huge, like about 28" long!! We were using little 7'9" steelhead rods, with 10#PP and a 1 oz. sinker with Fish-bites and clam for bait,it was a light tackle blast.Surf was clean except at the stand of the flood when we started to get some grass, but it wasn't bad enough to affect the fishing. Well next week, it's back to The Wildwoods for more fun and adventures.
