hello !!

lots of big STRIPERS in our area over the last day or so...
the bunker, sandeels and rainfish are on the move, and there
are even some blowfish in the Manasquan River !!


Anglers fishing on the Manasquan side of the Inlet are catching
blues from 2 to 4 pounds , mostly on metals: Gators,
AvA-jigs, etc.

Rich Bowen Sr. and Rich Bowen Jr., both of Brick, took their
"Kelly Marie II" out in yesterday's wind, and nailed a BIG BASS !!

They caught a 33 pound, 45" inch striper, just south of the Inlet.
It was definitely our biggest bass weigh-in so far this year !!

Trolling a couple of Mann's Stretch-25s !!

( we just got a huge batch of hot Stretch 18, 25 and 30 S !!)

Kevin Kovach of Lanoka Harbor also had a BIG BASS this weekend !
He nailed a 30 pound striper on a big ol' bunker !!

SURF: Lee Karosen of Manasquan took his clams to the Sea Girt
surf and he caught 3 stripers, up to 33 inches long !!
All in the morning, all on fresh clams !!


FRESHNESS: Gene Murphy of Toms River fished the western branch
of the Toms River and caught a mess of trout- up to
18 inches long !! Gene used Mepps spinners and
Power Bait !! right on !!
