God damn 15 minutes from my house, lived here 13 years and never knew about it till tonight.
Took one of my sons and some friends to the races and I must say it was a really great time.
We had a box up top and I went down into the stands for about 5 minutes and realized i needed to wear glasses next time as the dirt is nuts...
But heck no doubt we will be heading back to check out the sprint cars and the outlaws..
Many years ago I took my intectual liberal wife Capt Diana to a World of Outlaws race over in Delaware on a Sat night when they were running in our local area. When we got to the track it was totally sold out except seats in the first turn. The first race was the fastest qualifiers if my memory serves in correctly and as they hit the first turn tons of dirt flew up in her air, face and all over her clothes ect. She thought this was horrible but I loved it and some fans around us even had those clear plastic face mask hockey goalies used to wear to protect themsleves from the flying dirt. She hated it so much she has refused to go back to any dirt track races with me and that was over 25 years ago or more. I have always tried getting her to go to Bridgeport but she never would. I now have a 4 year old grandson that loves racing cars and getting very close to taking him to a race in the near future but not sure if NaNa will be joining us.
