    Fishing this week was good again with catches of fluke, sea bass, blue fish, tuna and sharks reported.
    During the week, reports of school sized blue fin tuna surfaced from the Lobster Claw, the Nineteen Fathom Lump and the Hotdog. The Cigar also produced a number of blue fin also. The majority of these fish were taken on Ballyhoo covered with Ilanders, Sea Bugs and also on Green Machines and Cedar Plugs. Charlie Falkenstein and crew on his boat “Play Pen” fished the tip of the Lindenkohl and boated two nice yellow fin tuna in the fifty pound class. They were dragging blue and white Ilanders covering ballyhoo and Chaos lures also covering ballys. The water temperature they reported was 73.2 degrees. They also reported seeing whales, tuna crashing the surface and large pods of dolphins.
    During the week Al Rocks fished the bay behind Somers Point and had a total of fifteen keeper flounder over a three day period. These fish were all caught on Gulps. The best of the bunch was a 24 inch 4.32 pound flattie. On Saturday, Bob Heins on his boat “K’s Krew” also fished the back bay behind Somers Point and had five nice keepers. These fish ranged in size from two pounds to 4.82 pounds. All of these fish were also taken on Gulps.
    Sea bass are being taken on the inshore reefs and blue fish are becoming more scarce although they can still be found near the AC Ridge and around the 28 Mile Wreck.
    The first reports of sharks being caught included blue sharks, dusky sharks and a small tiger, and couple of makos were taken on the troll in the Lindenkohl and Wilmington Canyons.
    More next week;
