Headed out to BRR today with Tracy and her Dad. His first trip fishing this year. Slow ride out at 2000rpm - breaking in the new motor. Fished from 930-1230, drifting cut bait. Kept one 19" flounder and half dozen crocker in the 14-16" range and then the ride back at 3000rpm. Smallest flounder today came in at 5", never caught one so small before. Drifting was difficult since a large number of folks have figured out the anchoring trick for flounder. At least next trip I can run it on plane.
Jim,
Key Largo 196 (19.5 ft) CC, Yamaha 115. Price was affordable, and most importantly, Tracy likes it. I think once I get comfortable I will be able to handle it fine by myself. Next trip out should be this SUN. Taking Sean to college tomorrow AM back SAT PM. Blake
