BOTTOM FISHING REPORT 7/23 & 7/26

7/23/05 Saturday, in the ocean we had action on the weakfish right on the beach but they were all too small .None to keep today. So we did not hang there long and went off to deeper water looking for the Fluke . The action has been pretty good on some of the humps and lumps about 2 to 5 miles out. We had over 20 Flounder total and kept 5 up to 19"


7/26/05 Tuesday, Went looking for the weakfish tight to the beach and out in about 30' of water and they were not to be found. I think the SW blow yesterday scattered the fish. The ocean was a mess. Soooo we took off to catch Fluke, and catch Fluke is what we did. Caught over 30 and kept 6 up to 18 1/2". We put back a lot of Flounder that were close to the mark. But the action was good. The rods seemed to be bent just about the entire trip.
