I have been fishing at the 20 line around the 28 mile wreck and the cigar as most have been doing. The blues were eating us up 2 days ago and we had to troll at 9 kts to keep them off. the BFT didn't mind and we caught 8 and missed 8 or 10 more that the party broke off. At one time we had 8 rods in the water and every one had a tuna hit at the same time. gets expensive fishing those 20-30 lb. rods. Anyway, today, I went off to the same area and the blues were almost absent. Go figure. We slowed down to 7.5 kts. and the BFT were very accommodating. We kept 2 and released 9 more including 2 @ 40". nice fish! They ate everything we had out the back and we had them from the long riggers to the transom lines. We probably missed 12 more that bent and went. We went 5 for 6 once with only 2 anglers, Dave Neamand and his son Chip. They did a heck of a job handling those fish. We also had a 7 lb. bonita! of course, there was 2 blues as well but the majority was BFT. I finally got a chance to try out the new video system on board and , if my wife is a judge of such things, it was a great success. We watched the video tonight and it is pretty darn neat. I intend to supply the videos to my charters at no cost. I heard one fellow say that he had caught 3 makos off on the cigar today and another that had one. Just reporting the info. They may have been blue sharks but I did not see them. In addition, the fluking has turned on offshore. A good friend out of Margate had 15 yesterday including a 6 and 2- 4 1/2 lb doormats. Those 15 were keepers by the way. It seems as if the sea is coming alive doesn't it? I had a cancellation for Saturday so if you are interested, give a call.
