Got a crew together on Tuesday for a little black drum fishing.the crew consisted of Alan, yellowfin ,a buddy of mine Alex and myself. The water was a little rough going across with the winds out of the north east.Once we got past the 4th island it turned almost flat.We put out 4 rods with sea clams and peelers for bait.I dont think I cant remember catching so many trash fish.we ended up moving 3 times befor finding a good spot.Talked with Plumbbob, and fins .It was a pretty slow evening. Finally we had one good bite. Not a peck peck but the slow pulling of a black.Alex was first up as he's never caught one. After a short fight he landed a 37 in black. We stayed a little longer and decided to head in.The bite is slow right now but the water temp is still on the cold side.57 d. when we left.
Stickem were you in the Chesapeake? I put a couple of hours in searching for them in the Delaware Bay last night without much drum luck. But we did manage a pair of big stripers. When you say peelers are you talking about blue claws? I known guys down in FL use them, but I don’t know of many people using them around my way.
Fishing the Chesapeake bay on the easrern shore side.Light house has a couple of bushels of them bearded clams. If thier not big enough you have to go to ov.Lots of em there.lol
