- All fish must be caught on rod and reel by registered contestant
- Winners will be determined by weight. In the event of a tie, first fish weighed in will be declared the winner.
- All anglers must comply with ALL Federal and Delaware laws regarding size and creel limits.
- Weather conditions will be the angler's decision-you will fish at your own discretion and accept full responsibility for your own decisions.
- All leader board contestants will be subject to polygraph at judges discretion.
- All fish entered will be subject to any examinations the judges deem necessary for the integrity of the tournament.
- Any violation of tournament rules shall constitute grounds for disqualification. Judges shall rule on any violation and their decision shall be final. No Refunds.

Bill's Sport Shop/The Wharf Restaurant Tournament
The countdown is on for the tournament!!!!Two days until the start and sign-ups will end Oct. 31. WGMD, 92.7, will be at the Wharf Restaurant broadcasting all the excitement every Friday night. Captain Bill Baker, Andrew Betts and Bill Collie will also be there live for their 'Great American Sports Talk Show' which is always aired on Friday nights between 5pm and 7pm. They welcome participation and bantering.
The T shirts are in and can be picked up Fri. night. There will be at least 20 door prizes every week and the following is added to the list:

Fishing News
> Ralph Ferraro of Millsboro, caught a nice keeper flounder IRI on a Wild Eye Storm.
>At least 3 keeper tog to 18" have been reported from Massey's Landing in the last 2 days, along with another 6 from IRI to 20".
>Sam Glenn from Charles Town W. Va., caught a 19" flounder at Rehoboth Beach in front of the boardwalk using fresh cobb mullet.
>Several customers reported catching keeper tog both at IRI and the Haystacks. At the Haystacks, they went 7 for 7 on keepers, no throwbacks. All fish were caught using green crabs.
>Bottom bouncers are getting good results catching sea bass at the Old grounds using squid on a top bottom rig. Croakers were also caught.
>Jeff Cushner, of Wilmington, DE caught an 11.53 lb sheepshead
on greencrabs while fishing the Haystacks.
>Chris Chiartas, age 13, of Milton, caught 4 kingfish to 12" on mullet at Rehoboth Beach.
>Rob Haas aboard the "Dana Lynn Charters" reported on 'Saltfish' that they had a steady pick of dolphin on Seawitches. They ended the day with 25 fish, a few better than 20 to 25 lbs.
>Tony Burr, owner of the "Liquidhandler", went offshore with Jon Kitchen and Bill Fisher to the Baltimore Canyon. They caught 5 yellowfin tuna, 1 bluefin throwback, and 1 Mahi-mahi.
>Bill Vernon sent us an email: "We fished Friday in rough seas on the "Four Play" with Capt Steve. On board we had the owner and chef of the Porchini House who reeled in a false albacore and a 40 lb bluefin while trolling ballyhoo at the Chicken Bone. I'm looking forward to rockfishing and the start of Bills Striper tournament on Friday."
>Emma Buchanan (who placed in last year's Striper Tournament) went offshore this past Sunday with a crew and came back with several false albacore and a 52 lb BFT.
>Chris Wagner went to the Outer Wall and came back with a 22", 6 lb tog along with 5 other keepers using speckled crabs.
>Jim Jones and Dave Biles went SW of the Sausages this past Saturday and picked up a 52 lb BFT.
>Capt. Rick Yakimowicz, "Thelma Dale V", at the Wharf, let us know that his fall wreck fishing is underway. Sea Bass has been at the top of the list with a few snapper blues, some croakers and still just the occasional flounder coming over the rail.
>Sue Foster, Oyster Bay Tackle, OC, reported anglers caught tons of small snapper blues, a few nicer sized blues, one 32" striper, a 22" flounder, and some nice kingfish. Red drum were biting on Assateague. Tautog fishing turned on with some nice keepers inshore and just offshore on the wrecks. Sea bass fishing was really good offshore.
>Capt. Carey Evans, "Grizzly Sportfishing", said the tog fishing should only improve as the water temperatures fall. They had a great day of croaker fishing. In three hours fishing time, everyone aboard had over 60 croakers. They also had several trips with nice catches of tog including a couple of six pound fish and plenty of throw backs.
Flounder Closure
Delaware flounder fishing is closed until the end of the year.
James Farm BBQ
James Farm is a 150 acre nature preserve with 2 miles of hiking trails with a sloping beach in view of the IRI. They are having an "all you can eat" pork, chicken, sides and desert catered by Bethany Blues.
Hay rides, pumpkin decorating, oyster tasting and live Blue Grass Music will also be featured. The event is Saturday, Oct 16th from 11-3., 25.00 per person and kids 10 and under free with paying adult. Call 302-226-8105 or tickets available at the CIB office.
