2010 Bill's Sport Shop Annual Flea Market

We are only 10 days away from April 10th, the day of our Flea Market. Because of limited parking, only one space will be available to each vendor-with no exceptions. This event is for folks selling used fishing, boating and hunting items only. Manufacturers' Reps will be available to demonstrate their new products: Shimano, Aqua Clear, Maws Tails, Saltwater Fly Anglers of Delaware, Eagle Claw, DMS, The Fisherman Magazine, Coastal Fisherman and St. Croix. St. Croix is offering a free hat ($20.00 value) with the purchase of a rod. The Star Rod rep will be here with Star's entire product line. He will be featuring all new products and even have a few hats to give away. Several local charter captains will be taking reservations for upcoming trips. We will also begin accepting registration for Bill's Sport Shop 2010 Flounder Tournament. Deli 88 will be open early for coffee and breakfast.

Fishing News

Cas Hans caught a citation white perch on bloodworms at Petersfield Ditch. There have been a lot of anglers in search of white perch and action has been good on the Broadkill River and its tributaries.

Sue Foster of Oyster Bay Tackle sent us an email that the final regulations for the 2010 Maryland flounder are a 19" minimum size, 3 fish limit and an open season

April 17th through November 22nd.

Capt. Carey Evans of "Grizzly" charters hit one of the local wrecks and put together a nice catch of tog and harvested 5 nice cod. On another nice day, Capt. Evans headed for the striper grounds. They had two nice keepers in the box and released another when they got a call from a friend. The crew pulled up the anchor and made a quick move. Within ten minutes, the striper bite was on and within an hour the "Grizzly's" charter had their limit of linesiders and were headed home.

2010 Fishing License

Avoid the rush and purchase your fishing license as early as possible. Licenses are also available on-line. Please note that the link to this site has changed. To get your F.I.N. call 800-432-9228 or go online at www.delaware-fin.com/

Freshwater Trout Season

Flounder Regulation

A decision on the 2010 flounder regs will be decided by May 1st and go into effect May 11th. Until then, 2009 regulations are in force. The creel limit is still 4 fish at 18 1/2".
