Christmas is fast approaching. If you have anyone on your gift list that is an angler, you should definitely stop by Bill's and take a look. We have clothing for women, men and children with brands like Pelagic, Aftco, Guy Harvey, Calcutta, St. Croix as well as a Perms & Worms and a Bill's Sport Shop line. Clothing includes hats, sunglasses, t-shirts, shorts, long pants, foul weather gear, watches and footwear. If anyone on your list fishes the beach or pier, we have a variety of "carts" that makes hauling their gear a much easier task. For folks that drive on the beaches to wet a line, we have a nice selection of rod racks that mount to the vehicle to hold surf rods and some will even hold coolers. If you are looking for a rod and/or a reel or a ready made combo, Bill's has the largest selection in the area. Our selection of reels includes Penn, Avet, Shimano, Daiwa, Abu Garcia, Okuma, Fin-nor, Quantam, Van Staal and a few others. Rods include Star, St. Croix, G Loomis, Tsunami, Tica, Penn, Shimano, etc. We have rods and reels that will land anything from a freshwater sunny to a big offshore trophy tuna or billfish. Bill's Sport Shop is fully stocked with great ideas for stocking stuffers and also have our very popular "Gift Cards" available.
This will be our last fishing report for 2009. As this year comes to an end, Captain Bill Baker, his wife Kathy, and the entire staff of Bill's Sport Shop would like to thank all our valued customers for their continued support and patronage. Our crew wishes you all a very happy and safe holiday season. We look forward to being your destination for all your fishing needs in 2010.
2010 Bill's Sport Shop Annual Flea Market
Our annual flea market will be held on Sat., April 10, 2010 on Bill's Sport Shop/Coastal Plaza parking lot.
Remember to set aside any fishing or boating gear you no longer want or need as you are stowing it away at the end of your 2009 fishing season. We are planning our Annual Bill's Sport Shop Flea Market in the Spring and this is an awesome opportunity to sell your unwanted equipment. More information will be forthcoming as the date gets closer.

FISHING NEWS
We received the following email from Captain Charlie Helmer of "Tranquilla Sport Fishing":
"Hey Bill, the trip that was won by Ed Watcheski and crew had 11 keepers on Wed. We were throwing fish back looking for the tournament winner. We probably caught 50 fish total. Some keepers were landed at the 8's on live bait, 1 in the Valley and the rest pulling Stretches at Overfalls. The fishing is red hot. Thanks Capt. Charlie, "Tranquila Sportfishing."
A customer reported catching his limit of stripers trolling Stretches at Overfalls.
Surf anglers reported catching stripers and blues in the suds on the beach at Fenwick.
Sue Foster of Oyster Bay Tackle emailed us that big blues hit early in the week. Some nice stripers were caught off the Route 50 Bridge and also offshore. Fish are there! All we need is weather! (And a warm coat!)
Captain Scotty of the "Bandit" has informed us that he is bringing his big boat back to South Short Marina. He will be running an open boat on Fri., Sat. and Sun. for a maximum of 25 people by reservation only. Private charters may be scheduled during the week.
