Bluefishing was pretty good today. In the morning we were stopping on big schools of fish but they were very hard to catch. Later in the morning they began to feed and could be seen on the surface chasing and tearing apart bunker. At times there were several areas of hundreds of bluefish feeding on the surface. They were hitting jigs, crocs, and surface plugs.
The pool winner was:
The Murphy Family - Matthew, Heather & Kylie from West Windsor NJ with a 16LB bluefish.
Recent pool winner:
Meliton Villabona from Warminster PA with a 13LB bluefish.
Night fishing has been good except for the last two nights. However, there was another body of fish located by the bottom fishing boats 17 miles east of Brielle today. That has been a good area in recent weeks.
The big Jamaica is scheduled to sail every day at 7:30Am & every night at 7:30PM
