The high NW winds did not stop the stripers from biting today, in fact they bit even better than yesterday! Fishing was excellent with most passengers catching their limit, bonus fish, and releasing many more.
The pool winner was:

There is a tremendous body of striped bass within easy reach of Manasquan Inlet and the water temperature is ideal for the continued migration of striped bass in our area. Fishing should be good through the month. The big Jamaica is scheduled to sail for Striped Bass every day at 7:30AM.
Our first night bluefish trip will sail 7:30PM Saturday May 15.

Good Striped Bass Fishing Saturday
After a tough day Friday Striped Bass fishing was good again Saturday. Many anglers caught their limit and released more. The fishing was good in the morning, slowed down for awhile and then turned on again. Some drifts almost half of the boat was hooked up at once. Most of the bass were keepers up to 30LBS. There were also a few blues mixed in.
The pool winner was:
Marje Hughes from Drexel Hill, PA with a 30LB striped bass, keeping his limit and releasing 5 more.
Jigging was the way to go and many different jigs worked well. Of the A-47 jigs green caught the most again today. When the fish were feeding the most, a slower retrieve was the best method.
The big Jamaica will sail for Striped bass everyday at 7:30AM Sunday.
