Special Wreck Trips

The big Jamaica will be sailing to the 50 -80 mile wrecks for Giant Sea Bass, Jumbo Porgies, Cod & Pollock.

The trips sail at 11PM and return between 6 and 6:30PM the following day.

Offshore Report 12-10-10

Offshore fishing continues to improve. Fishing was very good on the Friday special offshore wreck trip aboard the big Jamaica. Many passengers had limits of giant sea bass up to 7LBS and plenty of jumbo porgies. We also caught a few cod and Pollock. Everyone caught coolers full of fish.

The pool winners were:

Marcus Sirmans from Somerset NJ with a 31LB Pollock, a limit of giant sea bass and plenty of porgies.

Tommy Liu from Brooklyn NY with a 17LB Pollock, a limit of sea bass and plenty of porgies.

Rick Strodel from Belchertown Mass caught his limit of sea bass and plenty of porgies.

Richard Santos caught a cooler full of sea bass and porgies and a 15LB cod.

There was plenty of life on the wrecks and more fish migrating through our area every day.

If you want to catch giant sea bass and some of the biggest porgies you have ever seen now is the time to go.

The big Jamaica is scheduled to fish the offshore wrecks every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and more dates between Christmas and New Years Day. Now is the time to go offshore.

After January 1 we will sail offshore for Cod, Pollock, Jumbo Porgies.

12-11 Report

Saturday was another good day offshore. Passengers caught coolers full of sea bass and porgies with a few cod and Pollock mixed in.

The pool winners were:

Richie Johnson from Brooklyn NY with a 30LB Pollock. Richie also caught a total of 45 sea bass and porgies.

Joe Blushtein from Vineland NJ caught a 20LB Pollock and his limit of sea bass plus plenty of jumbo porgies.

Robert Ray from Trenton NJ caught his limit of sea bass and plenty of jumbo porgies,

Mike Rusin from Scottsplains NJ had his limit.
