I was working on the boat with my pops a couple of weeks ago trying to get the Bandit ready to fish the edge again and i got the invite to fish aboard the Taramar III that is slipped up next to us. I had only meet Al a couple of weeks ago but i knew he was a stand up guy so i jumped on the chance. Well it turns out the on the way back from getting pulled at Holiday Harbor he blew a hose and and sucked alot of water threw the air intake. With the mechanic working on the boat and not being sure of weather it would run they only entered one of the calcuttas. We did not find out until thurs night at 8pm that it would need a major overhaul. Fortunately for us we had Mike the dock master at Shelter Harbor fishing with us and he hooked us up with a ride. Or ride was onboard the BreakAway #2 owned and ran by Mark Howe the legedary Flyer defensemen. Me being a huge Flyers fan i was more than stoked to get out on the water with him. We fished in shitty weather Fri but managed to run a dredge, 2 teasers, and a 10 rod spread not bad for 6-8's all day. We managed to raise a couple of white's and had 4 rods go down at 2:45, putting one in the boat at 2:58 which weighed in at 60.1lbs. Sat we fished in much more favorable conditions and by 9:30 we had raised 4 whites and relaesed a couple of small tuna. The rest of the day was slow on raising a couple of more whites and we didnt have any more tuna of any size. All in all it was a great time with great people and i really enjoyed spending two day listening to Mark retell stories of the days he played for the orange and black.
