Just got off the phone with the man that made it all happen for me. He taught me the love and respect for the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Pop called all out of breath and tired to give me his update for the last few days fishing the beach. He just released a 42 inch striped bass. He plans on keepin a smaller one if he gets them but he said it was to beautiful of a warrior to take at this time. They had a battle royal on pops 10 ft Lamiglass I got him 6 years ago. He's fishing poverty beach in Cape May over the last two days he has 5 bass to 42 inches. Bait of choice is fresh clams he got from Capt Tates. I'll update if he gets anything more. Way to go POPS. Tim
Tim's dad finished his marathon with one more keeper 38 inches caught last night on poverty beach amongst the down pour. Fresh clams were the ticket.
Tims buddy Jason cambell was down at poverty at sun up this morning and He watched the guy south of him on the beach land a slob that had to be pushing 30lbs by Jasons estimate.
So the beaches around cape may continue to produce some great fish. Get out before they are gone.
