Bass on da metal.... Sandy Hook NJ 10-8-10

Figured we would give bassin a shot so set sail in the dark with Arrtie the Rockfish Smartie and Crackberry Mike, aka - Mboy...

Big A supplied the eels and lunch, thanx man, and we gave the Sandy Hook channels an honest shot in the dark to first lite...not even a touch... sucko... seen some bird play off in the distance and made the run... it paid off... bass on as soon as jigs hit the bottom.... bass bite good on long drifts right up till 0930, jumbo blues showed up and we fought through them to catch and release bass as we had our 3 man limit by 0900 with Crackberry Mikes Beautiful jigged jumbo going 37# at 47 inches.... a couple in the 18-20 # range and some in the 10# range... released over 20 linesiders....
All the gator blues you could handle and even jigged a 10" fluke and 2lb sea bass.
