Avalon HodgePodge fishing report 8-13
Aug. 13, 2011
It seems that almost all the keeper size fluke are off shore already as the keeper ratio in the back bays of Avalon has fallen dramatically. All my weigh ins this week came from either the WW Reef or the TI Reef. The largest Fluke was caught by Jack Post from Philly and weighed 6.44# & 26” caught on Squid at the WW Reef. Also, John Cuzzupe of Woodstown landed a 3 ft. cobia at the TI Reef using peanut bunker. There are still lots of kingfish and trigger fish inshore and are being caught on either clam or bloodworms at the 8th street jetty. Finally, there were some small 13-14# yellow fin tuna at the Wilmington Canyon caught on the troll by Todd Young & Tom Carr.
