Any Experienced Mates Available, Cape May, Sept9th?

Now that the Tuna Tournament is canceled for this weekend, I was wondering if there are any experienced mates available to show an inexperienced crew a thing or two for a minimal fee. While I have some good rods, I feel my tackle box is also lite and was looking for a mate that had some tackle...

While I am not a fast Sport Fishing boat, I cruise at 18k and have a 15’beam and a good size cockpit. I added four new rod holders and have some torpedos to spread a good 7 line troll.

I will be in Cape May this Friday Evening. When I arrive, I will be anchored near the coast guard station. I haven’t found a marina yet.

Also, I may have room for two that want to be included in the share of fuel costs.

I am a licensed 6-pack OPUV and have many years under my belt, just not many offshore fishing….

    Weather

The offshore waters forcast for the weekend dosent at this time seem to sporty. If you are looking for a slip South Jersey Marina has some available. It is early yo make a weather call but there dosent seem to be any break in the wind till monday.

I let the fee thing open because I don’t know what the fee would be. I am willing to pay whatever the standard is for a mate on an offshore trip, which is usually a percentage of the cost to the Captain.... If anyone is available, let me know I will discuss offline, call my cell = 267-688-0543

I made the weather call because High Pressure is settling over the area. Experience has showed me that when this happens, there may not be a lot of wind to stir up the Ocean. The new Hurricane isn’t going to be any ware near to affect the area...yet.

Look at these 96 hour predictions. http://weather.noaa.gov/pub/fax/PJAM98.gif
Look at this a 14 second period with a less than one foot height. http://weather.noaa.gov/pub/fax/PJAM88.gif

The weather is going to be wonderful. If you want to go offshore and spend the night out there, this is the weekend to do it. I have all the luxuries; my boat is the one to do it on…..

Get Spencer! A bigger boat couldn't hurt his love life

I'll be out over the weekend, but probably far north of you

Wish me luck. My beginner crew and I are going to do what most beginners do, just do it. At the very least, we will learn a thing or two. I figured I will start at the Elephant Trunk and work my way to deeper water is weather allows..
