ugust 16, 2011 - We had light rain for most of the morning and then the sun came out for the afternoon. We had good fishing throughout the day. You didn't have to wait long for a bite since the fluke were hungry today. If you were lucky, you had 4 or 5 keepers and if not, just a couple, and there is no lack of action with shorts. We fished the deep all day and at times you needed the weight to stay on the bottom. Tom Madson from Whitehouse Station, NJ won the pool with a 5 3/4 pound Fluke.
Wind is what ruins this fishery, but the weather looks good for the next 4 days.
If you want some Fluke, now is the time. Sorry, NO GALLEY on Wednesday.
