Angler Party boat Atlantic Highlands 10-10
October 10, 2011 - Another good day with the tog and porgies. Today, the Togs wanted the green crabs over the fiddlers, which were, well, second fiddle. Our first and last drops were the best today.
Mike Daniewicz from Edison, NJ had what he wanted with jumbo Porgies and then put on a green crab and caught the pool winning Tog.
With an east wind forecast for Wednesday, tomorrow should be a good bite with bottom fish. We have fresh clams and crabs for bait.
WE ARE NOT SAILING WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY
SPECIAL LING & COD TRIP 6:30 AM TO 4:00 PM SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15 – FARE $75
French Ruffin - October 7Jose Reyes - October 8October 9, 2011 - Friday was our slowest day and the only day with a sloppy ocean. We fished our reef and only picked, but we did have a good Tog bite late in the day with some Porgies mixed in. French Ruffin had the pool Tog on Friday.
On Saturday, we had a good bite on clams with Tog and some jumbo Porgies up to 16 inches. We did get some green and fiddler crabs, but most Tog where caught on clams. Jose Reyes from Patterson, NJ took the pool on Saturday and had 7 keeper Tog as did Archie. Blackfishing has been very good, but it's too bad we can only keep one a man. We wish we could keep one Sea Bass a man since we are sick and tired of throwing them back.
George Ketz - October 9Today (Sunday), there were a lot of smiles on board with just a few frowns. We started with big Porgies and very good Tog action. The Porgies shrunk in size as the day went on. George Ketz from Canadensis, PA got a 7 pound Tog for the pool.
The weather forecast for next two days looks nice, come enjoy it while you can.
