Amazing Bonito Fishing - 50 Fish Day

My fingers are sore from the line popping as I tried to get it in the flat line clips.

The spanish and frigates are in, as well as atlantic and oceanic bonito.

We caught fish from 30' of water out to 28 miles. Spanish and frigates in tight. Bonito in the middle and skipjacks on the far end.

If you like the light tackle action, then now is the time. green/yellow and purple, spoons, spreaders. Whatever you have they will eat.

They're feeding, you can see them. If you can't see them, you can smell them. If you can see them and smell them. Stop there...

Catch em up.

I wanted to get the report out early for anyone fishing.

Just got some pics.

Spin gear. Quad headers on the bonito. Nice runs on the skipjack. I guess some day I'll learn that skippies aren't cool, but until then I'll be smiling!

Nothing wrong with Skippies - not as big as their cousins, but they make fine eating if you remove the bloodline.

Had the bonito for dinner. New recipe - Bonito w/ two tomato salsa. AMAZING.

Wish I could post the dolphin videos. Pretty cool.

You can eat about anything if you bleed and prepare it fresh.

On the right tackle, skippies can be a blast to catch.

We slurried the bonito in salt ice and they were great,too!
