80lb tuna from a jetty?

Did anyone hear of an 80lb tuna caught from a Cape May Jetty. I read a newspaper report that said one was caught.

I heard a rumor going around that the fish was 126 lbs and the dude that caught it was lucky enough to be there and just gaffed it after it landed on the rocks. Then I heard it was confiscated by the game warden. I guess because the guy didn't have a permit??? Again, this was just a rumor and I to would like more info on this.

The fish weighed 126lbs. It was weighed at Jims Bait and Tackle. I talked to them this morning and they verified it. The story is that the tuna were chasing bait near the jetty. One of them hit a rock and was stunned momentarily. They gaffed the fish and weighed it at Jims.
They had a gaff to grab stripers from the rocks when they were caught. Evidently a lot of the jetty guys carry one.
