Surprise Black Drum;
While Trolling a stretch 25 when hit a high bottom an slowed down prevent a hang up. As soon as the boat stopped we had a pickup and fought the fish for 20 minutes before we seen what it was, large Black Drum. It measured 50 inch with a 36 inch girth. The fish was hooked in the mouth not snagged. We had the fish on a light rod and it took 30 minutes to get it close enough to boat. The fish pined the 60lb Boga, we estimated it to be 75-80 at least. We kept it in the live well and after few pictures we let it go. Amazing fish got every one wet with it's tail when it when in the water. That's the second Black Drum that I heard of this year. I think if you put min the time fishing for them there would be more catch, I know i going to.
