Surf fishing for the big weaks continues to be great. Bill Wilbur from Phil. brought four nice trout to the scale today with the largest weighing 11.9#. The weaks are getting more active and are being taken on bucktails and other lures as well as on bloodworms.
They are still catching drum on the Delaware side. Fred Jacobs has two in the boat already and is continuing to fish this evening.
We had a report of a 150# mako at the east lump today. That should get
everyone excited for the South Jersey Shark Tourney this coming week and our tournament on the 18th.
A few bass are are still being caught on the chunk but it's not as good as last weekend.
Howard Steinberg reported a good catch of seabass on the wrecks, 70 fish with the largest over 4#. He said the water was cold at the Old Grounds not much fluke action there yet.
