On Saturday went out and started up north at the rocks and trolled a bit before it became a parking lot. Had some marks but nothing great. Trolled up about 6 blues and then they became a pain so we jigged some for a while and once the head boats showed up the party was over. So we headed south with great marks in 40 feet of water, but nothing wanted to bite.
On Sunday I was out on the Wally World, and once again we went right to the rocks and trolled up a few blues. We threw out the Stretch and with 5 minutes had a 35” bass. Like clock work the blues came up top and the head boats moved in, but we hung around to jig some blues. Once everyone got tired of that we hopped back on the troll and pick up some more blues. We then decided we were going to go down south and see if we could find some of those marks from the day before. On our way there we were weaving in an out of the flukers and spotted a small pod of bunker off Spring Lake. Snagged a dozen real quick and ripped the jigs off the rods and within 5 minutes we had our first run off. About 5 minutes later we had a nice long run off, and I set the hook and she didn’t like that. She peeled off almost all of the line on the 955 so we chased her for a bit and about 20 minutes later she came up and measured 41 inches (not bad for the guys first bass). At the end of the day we had about 60 blues and 2 bass.
