Well, if you listened to the weather swamis, you would have stayed at the slip and maybe even gone to work yesterday. I listened to the buoy report at 3' every 9 seconds ane off we went to the tuna hole at 3:00A.M.. It was a gorgeous day with a long swell but no real chop. We did not know how the 2 days of weather would affect the fishing but you never wil;l know if you don't take a shot. The sea was so calm that we could fish in any direction without any problems. We saw plenty of tuna down deep but they did not come up to dine. We did however catch some nice dolphin that just appeared from nowhere, attacked everything in the spread and then joined their bretheren in the fishbox. We ran home at 21+ kts and beat the storms that were forecast, and fueled, cleaned the catch and boat, and were home before the deluge. I spoke to one other boat all day. It looks like we will be stuck at the dock for a few days but I will watch the weather and buoy reports religiously.
