Bears Have Their Day in Court
I wanted to take a moment to give thanks to our attorney, Doris Lin, for ably representing the bears today in Trenton. Doris gave oral arguments in Appellate Court asserting that the Comprehensive Black Bear Management Policy is scientifically flawed and that it was adopted in violation of the Administrative Procedures Act. Doris did a wonderful job handling all of the judges questions and comments in a clear, concise and compelling manner. We are very lucky to have such a passionate advocate representing us, and the bears, in court.
In addition to speaking before the judges, Doris also gave numerous press interviews: CBS Radio, 1010 Wins, NJTV, Star Ledger, New Jersey Herald, NBC TV, 101.5 FM, Associated Press, WGHT Radio, NorthJersey.com, The Record, NJ.com, FIOS News, Philly Inquirer, Washington Examiner and News12 NJ. Doris also did an NJTV interview that will air later on NJTV, Channel 13 and will be on the NJTV website. Some of the articles/interviews are below.
Thanks also to Sue Russell, our Wildlife Policy Specialist, who also gave media interviews and to Janine Motta, Janet Piszar and Barbara Sachau for attending to support this effort.
Here's partial media coverage:

Washington Examiner
Because our motion to accelerate was granted, we expect a decision from the judges before the killing is set to start on Monday, December 5.
In the meantime, if you know someone who is upset about the bear hunt, have that person contact us at info@savenjbears.com. We will plug them into our Connecting and Unifying Bear Supporters (CUBS) Program.
Thank you!
Angi Metler
Executive Director, APLNJ
