Those are some fat bears. Do you hunt them or just take pics? I see the date is in may so I guess if thats so they arent in season.
I dont think I could shoot a bear. I know the population is growing and its actually better for all of them to be managed but there is something about the way they stand up, and walk that would make it hard for me to shoot him.
I am not against it though, dont think Im saying that. One other thing I can mention if you dont mind. I was watching a show on versus about a month ago. This girl was on a bear hunt, I forget where now. Anyway, It was a total disgrace. She shot at 2 bears.......wounded both......recovered neither. One of the shots was only 50 yards and she wounded it. I couldnt believe they showed that show and she had no business even hunting.
The point of the show was union electricians that get to go hunting.
Nice pictures. And if you get a knock at the door, I wouldnt answer it if they are outside.
Bait like that around here would get you put under the jail!!! I've never seen a "blonde" like that before, never even heard of one down this way. I brought the head of the one I had to shoot "off of me" this year (I love my .44), to the taxidermist today. He's gonna make a head/shoulder mount, and then put the skull in with the "beetle's", then bleach it. That's gonna be one nice skull! Nice to see some pic's. Had a 300 pounder next to the house, yesterday afternoon! Frank
I HAVE HUNTED BEAR FOR A LONG TIME, AND I MUST SAY I REALLY ENJOY TAKING PICTURES OF THEM, ITS ALLOT OF FUN, ALL OF THE BEAR PICTURED HERE ARE ALIVE AND WELL TODAY AND WILL BE TILL FALL COMES AROUND. THOSE BEAR ARE FROM THIS SPRING AND IN SEASON TO HUNT, SOME ARE GOOD SIZE FOR SURE BUT COME THIS FALL THEY WILL BE 150 TO 200 LBS HEAVIER IF YOU COULD PICTURE THAT. BEAR DO STAND UP ALLOT FOR ALLOT OF REASONS AND IT IS SOMETHING TO SEE IN THE FLESH.
I HAVE SEEN SOME OF THE TV SHOWS OUT THERE AND I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU THAT SOME IF NOT MOST SHOULD NOT BE AIRED AT ALL, ITS A DISGRACE TO THE SPORT AND SPORTSMEN TO SAY THE LEAST.
BY THE WAY, THOSE BEAR WOULDN'T KNOCK AT THE DOOR THEY WOULD RIP IT DOWN WITHOUT MUCH EFFORT AT ALL.
THE BEAR PICTURED HERE ARE FROM NORTH CENTRAL ALBERTA, AND DURING SPRING SEASON THIS YEAR. THE WOLF PICTURED IS THE GIVE-AWAY, SOME NICE HEADS THERE FOR SURE, AND YES, THE BAITS, WHICH ARE LOCATED IN A TRUE WILDERNESS AREA, ARE VERY LARGE AND MESSY,BUT WITH REASON, ALLOT OF FUTURE SCOUTING BEING DONE, BUT MOSTLY FOR PICTURES AND VIDEO.
I MUST SAY THAT I DID HUNT THAT BLONDE BOAR REAL HARD BUT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN, I HAVE SEEN MAYBE A HAND FULL THAT SIZE IN THAT AREA, BUT I HAVE YET TO PUNCH THE TICKET, HERE IN THE STATES THEY HAVE SOME BLONDES WITH THE BEST I THINK IN IDAHO, BUT NO WHERE NEAR THE SIZE PICTURED HERE.
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BEAR SKULL AND MOUNT, WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME PICTURES WHEN ITS DONE, BEAR AROUND YOUR HOUSE, BETTER THAN A WATCH DOG, SEE ANY CUBS THIS YEAR.
really enjoyed seeing the photos, very empressive. We have not been in several years but really miss the action. That blonde is an awesome trophy for sure. For me, I have a house full of bears, I want the wolf. To each his own. We hunt the same general area as you.

DO you do sell hunts? I would be very interested.
saw (from a distance) a bear basically dismantle a Harley Dresser that had wrecked on Skyline Drive....rider had food/snacks in the tourbox....and bear handled bike like a tonka toy......unreal strength
