Would you trade for guns ?

Here's the deal. I have a lot of guns. A lot of guns. Whatever that means to you ... double it.

The '90's were good to me and I bought a lot of guns. I was a very serious hunter and took all my equipment very seriously.

I have guns that have been used lightly and guns that have never been used. I have guns handmade by true artisans, including several members of the Gunmakers Guild.

I have an African double rifle. I have a an original .416 Rigby actually made by Rigby. Got an original Weatherby made in California.

I have a lot of Winchesters. I have pre '64's and the rest are all "control round feeding".

    Lots of guns !

I had a nice house and they were displayed proudly. I have moved to Mexico and gun importation is illegal.

The guns are all in climate controlled storage in Texas.

I thought it might be interesting to see if anybody had any interest in doing some trading. What I am looking for is anything that might be fishing related and obviously of equal value.

Maybe it's a crazy idea ... but then what else is new !

    Cheers.

You might be able to get money for those from my brother. He's a collector and holds all the appropriate permits.

He likes a lot of WWII stuff but would definitely consider anything collectible.

    Send me a PM.

It's going to be a project to redo my inventory with proper photos and what have you. Once I do that, I'll probably send the nicest stuff to auction in New York.

If you know Dallas and the SCI Club then you probably heard of Sterling Davenport. I've got several rifles by him including a .375 he built for my first Africa hunt. It's pretty sweet. It's built for dangerous game with Swarovski Optics.

Oh well, I'm just fishin'! (smile)

If you are talking about a double, I have an Austrian double in .450 Nitro Express.

Big Jay, I haven't forgotten you. I am driving to Texas tomorrow. I am going to redo my inventory and take some pictures. I'll post what I've got available.

In bolt guns, cal .375 H&H, I have:

    1. A custom rifle by a renowned master gunsmith named Sterling Davenport of Arizona. It's a beautiful gun but made to use. I took a 40 inch Cape Buffalo with it in Botswana. It is in excellent condition and has German/Austrian optics, don't remember exactly which scope. The rifle is a bit sweatstained but not much. This can be removed if so desired by a qualified gunsmith. It was hot in Botswana.

    2. I have a Winchester, stainless, controlled round feeding with a synthetic black stock.

    3. I may have a pre-64 Winchester Super Grade. Don't remember, I'll have to look.

In .416 Rigby, I have a genuine Rigby .416 made by Rigby. It is in just beautiful shape and is a true classic.

If someone had a gunsmith and was interested in pre-64 or Argentinian Mauser '09's, I've got some of those as well.
