that was fast. i knew i was doing it way to gingerly. I really like the way he got it started on the ground first. and that trick of cutting the legs off and the chest open before gutting was a real time saver.
Looks like one of those cheap recycled fillet knives you see in tackle shops.
I need more practice....
That dude is quick.....is it common not to gut them in the south?.....we always gut them, tag thm and drag them......not too often we can get a 4 wheeler into the areas we hunt......besides that I just drop them off at the butcher shop any way and they do the skinning and butchering.....very cool video.
I think he could do it in his best suit. I dont think he got any blood on himself. Thats amazing in itself.
depends on how close to home we are if we gut them or not. If we are 5 minutes away and gonna clean them immediately we don't bother gutting. If we are gonna be hunting for a few more hours we go ahead and gut them.
Breaking them down yourself saves you some money at the butcher shop.
That knife ain't nothin special but whoever sharpens it is.
With regards to gutting them.....I'm betting that's a hunt club and guts in the woods might throw the dogs. Just a guess...
Nice bladework for sure.
