The elk was pen raised and killed behind a high fence in Canada. It is still a monster set of horns. Note the abnormal points, some that are in between where the normal point would be.

They drug the elk when the horns are started growing good and slit a place in the velvet on one side and an extra point will grow on the opposite side.

Don't ask me why or how this happens but my taxidermist here in Utah mounts a lot of elk off ranches and he says that's what they do and what happens. He sees a lot of 8 or 9 point type horns on a count of this practice.

For anyone who cares, you can go to kingsoutdoorworld.com and see blogs on this elk and pictures of it in the velvet in a lush green pasture. High fence and feeding station included.

Still a slob!

Actually they have a restocking lagoon at Atlantis that has been tapped for the tarpon it holds... I'll say nothing more...

As for robins... Honey glazed with crushed walnut aint bad. Sparrows though take more imagination. I would love to see my mate eat some of the shit he has shot. The kid is death with a bow. Can pop double lungs at 40 yards but with a gun he's about bad. In fact I watched him get a timber grand slam one day. He got a spruce, an elm and an oak in three straight shots after missing a herd of deer... I felt bad for those poor trees since he aint a beaver he has no business shootin them...
