FOR TWO YRS I HAVE BEEN BOWHIUNTING THIS DEER ACROSS THE STREET ON A 26 ACRE THICK PARCEL....I KNOW OF SEVEN DEER THERE LAST YEAR....3 BUCKS AND 4 DOES I HAVE ON FILM

AND TODAY HE HAD TO CHASE SOME TANG DURING THE LATE RUT AND GO INTO TRAFFIC IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE ON HIWAY 24....


NATURALLY THE ASSWIPE THAT HIT HIM CUT THE HORNS OFF AND LEFT HIM LAYING PARTLY STILL OUT ON HIWAY 24 WITH HIS LEGS IN THE ROAD....DO YOU BELIEVE IT


THE WIPE HAD ENOUGH ENERGY TO CUT THE HORNS OFF..... BUT COULDN'T EVEN DRAG THE BUCK OFF THE HIWAY AND INTO THE BUSHES OUT OF PUBLIC VIEW

I had the opposite happen last week. Jen called me on Saturday (while I was hunting) and said a deer was hit outside our driveway, but was still alive. Both back legs completely broken. County police came, shot the doe in the head. I showed up, gutted it, took it to the butcher. I see a few rednecks every year cutting racks off of roadkill on 50 and 301. They all kind of look like Glenn W.

Sorry to hear about that Marty. I hope some of the slobs around me get whacked and I'm there to cut the racks off and take them to the butcher. There no such thing as a freezer too full IMO. Can't hunt without going to the clanger around here.
