What's your corn budget ???

Ok, you don't need to give it in $$ if it hurts too much, but how many LBS of this yellow stuff do you hardcore guys go through in a year?!
With between 10 and 22 deer that show up early and clear the dinner table in minutes my boys better stop hoping for a real buck and start freezing some 6 month lamb!!!

So far my corn budget has been $0.

Can't feed at my suburban places. I've been meaning to hang a feeder in one location on the one farm, but just haven't had the time to drive up there and do it.

What is a 50lb bag up to in your neck of the woods?

Central NC, the 50lbs is between 9 and $10. A bag a day keeps some teenages happy but they better start working!!!

at the farm that i hunt we use roughly 900 or so LBS over the course of the season september-december. though they really haven't gone after it that much due to the large number of acorns and persimmons. we use the corn mostly in cutovers where other sources of food are scarce. the corn is goin for around 11 dollars for 100lb bag

LAST YEAR...UNLIMITED BUDGET....I PUT DOWN 300 LBS A WEEK FOR 4 MONTHS AND THAT WASN'T ENOUGH TO KEEP UP WITH THEM....IF I HAD THE TIME AND MONEY I WOULD HAVE PUT DOWN 1,000 A WEEK


WHY? BECAUSE THEY COME TO IT...I PUT IT DOWN AND THEY SMELL IT INSTANTLY

I HAVE SPREAD CORN DOWN....WALKED 75 YARDS AND CLIMBED.,...20 MINUTES LATER THEY WERE ON IT.....AND IT WAS NEVER IN THAT SPOT BEFORE

I JUST PUT CORN DOWN WITHIN 150 YARDS OF WALLY WORLD PARKING LOT ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON...I HAD NEVER BEEN TO THIS SPOT BEFORE...YOU CAN HEAR PEOPLE TALKING IN THEIR TRUCKS AND CARS....NEXT MORNING....CORN GONE.....

The Commonwealth of Virginia, State of Maryland, along with several federal agencies have mandated that my budget for "corn, milo, or other grain specifically placed in water or field used as bait for the harvesting of migratory game" is again....ZERO.

WOW. The last time I got corn it was $4 to $5 for a 50lb bag. Its been a while. If my Granddad was still alive, I would be hearing about $9 corn every day, because he would put out some corn now.

The one thing he did was soak his in water before he put it out. But he put it out every day and only put out a small amount.

He said the water got some of the scent off it and it swelled a little, giving them more moisture, so they came to it for water as well as food. I have seen 9 bucks in his back yard at one time before. It was awesome.

got 30 bags at 12.50 in swansboro from a farmer with a bad crop this year.

its about 10 for a 50 lb bag.

make ya go broke
