Nico was out playin with the new lense and caught this guy flying over the pond. What is it?

Dave nailed it... Where i shoot them they hang right at the edge of my guns range... Quick flyer... Must have been hard to take that shot with a camera... Pretty work...

Dave is that the same thing as a merganser. You were calling them mergansers when we were hunting.

yup - single duck - he was up on the bank for a while and nico scared him off when he was trying to get up close for a pic

Not a merganser....don't know if we shot a merganser too or not, but I do remember at least two buffleheads that day.

Right about that Dave, all the buffelheads I have ever seen have been in the middle of no where, he might have some shot in him.

When I saw it I thought it was a Golden Eye...now they will sit on a bank. Never have seen a Buff do that but they got to come ashore sometimes to lay eggs...
