I googled a few months back and found a pic of a Goldeneye doing his "sexy" pose.
Well this fella couldn't help but try and upstage him.
Only the one GE decoy outside the spread all by himself. I guess it holds true in nature too, try and impress the ladies too much and you might just get F#$%#D.
Make sure you get the matte version or you'll have one glossy decoy.
I use the Heavy Body Jars, but know that plenty of carvers use the fluid matte paints too. This birds is simply Mars Black, Titanium White w/ some Burnt umber to knock down the brightness...aka warm white, The head is Phthalo green(yellow shade) mixed with mars black.
Goldens also makes interference colors if you want to get fancy that have a irridesence to them.
I'll post a good report tomorrow. Ten of us killed 20 geese this am in an hr near the bay bridge. Best goose hunt of the year. Goin again in the am in Centreville.
