    oh yea. They definitely get better with age. It is the major factor in large antlers for sure. Athough the first picture in the Deer Pern thread was aged at 3.5 years. I find that hard to believe though.

    I'd say it's genetic trait. We hunt one area where it is very infrequent the bucks have brow tines. For meat hunter, I don't really care but if you are trophy hunting it is sure undesirable.

    Nice looking deer you have there btw...

    yea no brow tines will kill its score. I bet a big six or eight would make a great set of rattling horns though!
