Have any of you had any experience with hunting out of a tree saddle?

I've seen this thing in the catalogs for years but have never seen one in use or heard of anyone that uses one.
I can only assume someone is buying them, but I can't see why.
With a small climber or lock on you can actually be comfortable and have a better chance of using proper form when shooting.
I can't imagine that thing will be comfortable.
It seems like a nice and stealthy design, but it's definitely not my cup of tea.

EVERYbody (3 people) that I have spoken to that uses one of these loves it. The first person to tell me about these is a 6'2 tall older gentle man with a back problem. He said that it is the most comfortable "stand" for him to be in. He even sleeps in it. He uses the lone wolf sticks to climb and can be in the tree in no time at all with little noise.
Many of the places that I hunt it's hard to find a tree suitable for my climber. And I do not like lock on's.

I am a tackle Ho
Probably the best piece of equipment I own. It is light and very versatile. It takes some time getting used to, but once you figure it out, you won't want to hunt without it.

Anthony's Ark is a blowboater
i have a hard enough time figureing out how to get my safety harness on and untangled...that being said i am one of the few deer hunters that i know that hates heights i guess im in the wrong sport.... but it does look comfortable but i need a little more platform between me and the ground

Sit down Shut up And fish
2 guys in my club use them. They both have expressed that they will never hunt out of anything else other than the tree saddle. I cant see myself using one, but they got them and love them. The owner of the local archery shop here sells a ton and swares by them.

You have your ideology and I have mine!
Hey Dave,
Len at Macrotech absolutely raves about them. When I was looking into getting a stand last year, I went through it and the Equalizer with me in the shop and in the end I decided on the Equalizer. In the end cause I was new to the sport he suggested that I get the climber first and get some "in tree" time under my belt before trying the Tree Saddle.
He said that in his opinion they are the most comfortable "stands" he has ever used and that they are extremely quiet and versatile when setting up on a shot. Allowing you to move around the tree instead of being fixed on one side.
Maybe some day I'll try it.
