Not hardly. I have said this before, I'm a lucky man. My wife my best friend, my hunting partner all rolled into one. Saturday was opening day and
we only got to hunt in the morning then had some other stuff that we had
to take care of, (fishing). I saw 4 but passed on all and Kay didn't see
any. It was after midnight when we returned home last night so SHE
didn't go this morning. I will talk to her about that later (to find out
her secrets). After finishing chores, she get's her hunting clothes on
and at 12:45 PM says she's headed to the woods. Who the heck goes deer hunting at 12:45 PM? Well she did. The trail cameras can tell you a lot and hers had told us that at least three 8 pts where coming in the middle of the day. I found it a little strange but the camera don't lie. Anyway she heads to the woods but work keeps me away. I am not surprised at
all when the phone rings just before 2:00 PM to tell me "he's down". At 1:30 PM she had made a perfect shot and the deer travelled only 20 yds before
pilling up. 8 pt. 150 lbs. She had seen turkeys, a hawk and 2 deer. Sometimes it takes doing something different.

I am sure the deer/pigs/bears/fish/etc all tell stories to their youngings of the "Grim Reapress and Captain Howdie" around yalls parts.

Has your wife always liked to hunt, or did you help cultivate that in her?

My wife won't even consider it... but then, she hated guns when we got married... but now she loves shooting, so much so she asked for a hand gun for her birthday.

Jared, she "expanded" her hunting skills after we met. Raised a farm girl, she had killed one rabbit with a .22 before. She didn't like guns so she took right to the bow. Here is a pic from her first big game hunt.
