Opening day here for bow ... Had dreams of ham and bambi for dinner. Instead its gonna be warmed up left overs...

Too hot, too many people, too wet (in my favorite spots), too many bugs (gave up a pint of grade A Deepoglobin), too many swamp buggies ignoring rules about being in the still hunt areas, too few tracks (almost none)...

Makes me want to put my bow down and just bag the whole season. Don't know if I'm thinking logically or if I'm just getting too old to put up with the inconveniences of having to hunt a little harder than normal to score... Oh well. After I sleep on it I'll probably ramp up my game and get back at it.

Got back at it til the heavens opened up and the high volt bolts started flyin... Shoulda stayed in bed. Less crowded though. Most all of yesterdays animals came in via buggy that could get out to the drier stands. 6 does 4 bucks and 4 hogs for 1200 hunters is a bit behind usual opener days...

Judging from the rain thats been and continues to fall were gonna need at theast three days of no rain just to get it back where it was yesterday and probably close to a week to get it close to being "right".
