Thursday morning although it was going to be slick calm we decided to go and blast last years rusted shells we found in a closet!
Got set up as the eastern horizon was turning red just in time for some hot chocolate...
No ducks flying early and the buffleheads started moving around as the sun came up on beautiful Core banks.
A little sunshine on the decoys and them dippers should have stayed home...
Patrick got an unusual shot in our area as some snow geese came out to check the beach...
Anyway it's a good thing the season closes today as these boys put a hurting on those poor birds as they wait impatiently for the red and blackheads to come down!
