I need to find someone to mount a woody drake.
Recomendations appreciated.
Also, it has been in my freezer nearly a year at -10. Is it still mountable?
thanks,
Jay

Jay, as far as I know, keeping anything at -10 should allow you to mount it. I know my taxidermist keeps stuff in his freezer for a while and I doubt his freezer is much colder than -10.
I'm sure you'll find some one down your way that does good work, and I believe Sikorski has a taxidermist that is really good too, but I could be wrong. My guy normally does great work, and I should be getting some birds back in the next couple weeks, looking forward to seeing them.
Good luck.
PM sent Jay.
Try Northeast Taxidermy in Middletown Ct.
This guy is world class.
I had a Woody Drake mounted by Wilderness Taxidermy all the way in Franklin, NC. The best I have ever seen. These boys are for real. They have mounted everything from the #5 lion ever taken on the african continent to crocodiles etc. These guys are freakin' amazing.

Check out the link to the price list. I would have paid twice what they asked for the job they did on my duck.

The skin around the face bill and the skin on the feet will dry out pretty bad, but a year isn't too terribly long.
