Nice big six. Looks almost like the one I shot with a bow a few weeks back. He was 4 1/2 years old.You saw the video I took of the small 6 after those doe's. Its about that time for the doe's that weren't bred 20 days ago to come back in...Mark

Thumbs up Tall

What he lacks in points/width is made up for in the height of the rack on that fella. Thanks for sharing!

Nice tall 6. Do you think he'll be a shooter next year?

Birddog, from what little bit I know about deer, my guess is he will be a 6 pt. again next year, only bigger. We are hoping he makes it. He has an UPHILL battle around here with the pressure from poachers. They shoot everything that walks, night and day and it doesn't stop when the season ends. He has made it at least 3 years so who knows. We won't shoot him this year for sure.

My buddy had a similar 6 on his farm that's now on his wall. Hopefully he turns out good for you.

Can somebody please tell me,

What does a Poacher get's out of shooting a deer out of season or at night? Really, just reading weekender's comment about poacher's get's under my skin. Now I'm not gettin all high and mighty here. I eat em' like apple's. But what is the point of killing something that your not going to use,eat in this case. I just don't get taking the chance of getting "busted" for something so stupid.Frank,SeaPower
